On the eve of Republic Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the 19th October 2025, the Department of General Education held the citywide blitz chess tournament “October Chess 2025.”

Thirty chess players participated in the tournament: students from secondary schools and specialized schools, champions of city and regional competitions, and Uralsk chess veterans.

The purpose of this event was career guidance and familiarization with the Industrial Technology Institute. During breaks between rounds, brochures and flyers on career guidance topics were distributed. Industrial Technology Institute. The winners of the blitz tournament were awarded with diplomas, medals and cash prizes:
