Ahead of the Day of Digitalization and Information Technology Workers, students of the Computer Engineering and Information Systems educational program at West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University took part in the national DECENTRATHON 6.0 hackathon. Faculty members from the educational program accompanied the students and provided organizational support.
The hackathon was held on 30-31 October 2026 simultaneously in 19 cities across Kazakhstan, including Oral. The event was organized by Astana Hub and the Blockchain & AI Technology Center with the support of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Over two days, the students worked on real-world technology challenges, developed digital solutions, and applied their knowledge of programming, artificial intelligence, and modern information technologies. Participation in the hackathon helped them strengthen their teamwork, project thinking, and idea-presentation skills.
The participation of WKITU students in DECENTRATHON 6.0 aligns with the goals of the Digital Qazaqstan Day 2026 concept, which promotes digital technologies and artificial intelligence, supports talented young people, and develops digital competencies.
Events of this kind give future IT specialists an opportunity to gain practical experience, explore current technology trends, and contribute to Kazakhstan’s digital development.
We wish our students new ideas, successful projects, and continued professional achievements!
