On December 07, 2022, in the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University at the Department of Philology, Culture and Teaching Methods, in order to popularize among young people the songs of the great composer who left an indelible mark in Kazakh culture, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, one of the founders of modern Kazakh pop Shamshi Kaldayakov, a pair song contest «Musical Melody» was held among teachers and students, organized by teachers of educational programs – musical education, cultural leisure left an indelible mark in the Kazakh culture.

A total of 8 couples from each department took part in the competition. The contestants were presented with requirements for performing skills, stage culture, style of clothing, professional processing of music, dividing the song into 2 voices and showing a video related to the song, stage performance. The contest was interesting and exciting.

The Grand Prix was won by the 2nd year student of the educational program «Kazakh language and literature» Sansyzbayeva Madina and associate professor Azhgaliev Marat Kairzhanovich. The Department of Accounting and Finance took the first place, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology took the second place, the Department of Registration Office and the Department of Oil and Gas Business took the third place.

At the end of the competition, the participants were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts.
