On March 19, a round table was held at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety on the topic «Modern approaches to teaching according to the One Health concept» with students of the Veterinary education program.
During the event, reports on the One Health concept, the spread and prevention of zoonotic diseases, the problem of antibiotic resistance, as well as the role of veterinary specialists in ensuring global health and biosafety were heard and actively discussed.
Special attention was paid to the practice-oriented format of the work. Students participated in the analysis of situational cases, as well as in mini-game simulations aimed at developing professional competencies. Within the framework of the role models, the participants acted as representatives of various services and professions involved in the public and veterinary healthcare system.
The 1st year students actively engaged in the work, which contributed to their professional orientation. They solved problems related to the prevention and elimination of particularly dangerous diseases, demonstrating interest and a high level of engagement.
The round table made it possible to deepen the students’ knowledge, form an interdisciplinary understanding of the One Health concept and emphasize the importance of interaction between specialists from various fields in solving urgent problems of modern healthcare.
