On May 17, 2022, students of the 1st and 2nd courses of the Department of Ecology and Biotechnology of the IHF ZKITU of the educational program 6B07501 “Standardization and Certification” took part in a seminar dedicated to the World Metrology Day. The seminar was organized jointly with the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandard). The purpose of the seminar is to expand the horizons of students, familiarization with the science of “Metrology”.

Within the framework of the seminar, presentations on the development of standardization and metrology were made by leading specialists of KazStandard, teachers, students. The reports sounded topical issues on quality issues today, a review of state standards of force and alternating electric current, temperature, mass and length. Of great importance in achieving the goal of the seminar is the role of research, confirming the positive impact of metrology not only on the economy, but also on the activities of people and society as a whole.
