On November 22, the Institute of Industry Technologies organized a meeting of 1st year students of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology with Kuan Armat Kulimbekovich, a specialist in religious studies at the Center for the Study of Religious Problems. The meeting was attended by A.A.Kubashev, a specialist in religion and extremism at the University, senior lecturer at the Department of “Social Disciplines and Physical Culture”, A.R. Mukhtar, a specialist in religion and extremism at the Branch Institute of Technology, senior lecturer at the Department of “General Education Disciplines”. The head of the Department of educational work and Social issues D. S. Tolekbaуeva took part in the work.
The main purpose of the meeting on the topic “Prevention of religious extremism and terrorism” is preventive work and analysis of issues on the topic of religious extremism and terrorism; prevention of the spread of extremism and terrorism through propaganda of traditions, culture, values of the Kazakh people; dissemination of reliable information about their activities by destructive religious movements. During the event, students asked their questions and expressed their thoughts.
