Master’s students of the educational program 7M07202 – “Oil and Gas Engineering” are undergoing industrial internships at the leading enterprises of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas sector – LLP “ZhayykMunai”, JSC “KazTransOil”, and JSC “MangystauMunaiGaz”.

The internship is an important stage in the professional training of future petroleum engineers. During this period, students have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge gained at the university in practice and to observe how modern technologies of oil and gas extraction, transportation, and processing are implemented at real production facilities.

Throughout the internship, students perform a wide range of tasks, including: analyzing the technical parameters of drilling and pumping equipment; studying technological schemes of well operation and maintenance; monitoring drilling, production, and oil preparation processes; participating in industrial and environmental safety control; mastering methods to improve the efficiency of production processes.

Particular attention is paid to developing engineering thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to make decisions in real industrial conditions. Supervisors from partner enterprises note the high level of theoretical training, responsibility, and motivation of the master’s students.

The industrial internship not only strengthens students’ professional knowledge but also helps them gain confidence in their own abilities, broaden their outlook, and gain a deeper understanding of the specifics of the oil and gas industry.
