On January 27, 2023, students of the 4th year of the educational program “Law Enforcement” of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University on the basis of dual training held a workshop on the topic “Methods of describing the localization of seized traces” with a visit to the Operational and Forensic Department of the DP WKR. The purpose of the lesson was to combine theoretical knowledge with practical activities of law enforcement agencies.

The senior criminologist of the criminalistic department, Lieutenant Colonel of the police Malaev A.M., revealed to the students the main points in the course of the activities of forensic technicians, while paying special attention to the tactics of viewing the scene of the incident for serious and especially serious crimes. Further, he introduced the students to the work of the information bases “Image ++” and “Papilon”, demonstrated the removal of traces of papillary patterns of fingers and palms from the crime scene in various ways. The removal of traces was demonstrated from the surfaces of various objects.
