On September 26, 2024, a round table on the topic was held at the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering: “Kazakhstan munayyna 125 zhyl”, dedicated to the day of workers of the oil and gas industry.

The event was held on the eve of the International Day of the Elderly. In this regard, oil veterans were invited to the event: Makhuov Baltabek Makhuovich, Head of the branch of the republican NGO “Veterans of the Oil and Gas Complex” in the West Kazakhstan region, Arystanbai Syrym Duysentayly, Salikhov Mendesh Khalelovich, a leading geologist of Zhaiyk-Munai LLP Ergalieva Sholpan, where they worked for many years in the oil and gas industry and have extensive production experience. The round table was also attended by the director of the Institute of Industrial Technologies, the acting head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering B.A. Bilashev. and the teachers of the department, K.A. Ihsanov, G.E. Kaleshova, A.M. Nugmanov, B.A. Biketov, E. Baktugulov, who made a significant contribution to the development of our department and to the training of specialists in the oil and gas industry.

Students and undergraduates actively participated in the discussion. They asked the veteran production workers the questions they were interested in. The veteran oil workers answered the questions asked and told their career path with interest.
