On November 8, 2024, the largest IT conference in the region was held – Jaiq Digital Day, dedicated to the Day of Digitalization and Information Technology Workers. The event brought together leading experts, startups and enthusiasts, providing a unique platform for sharing knowledge and discussing current topics of the digital world. Among the guests of the conference were also teachers of the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering of ZKITU, who actively participated in the event and supported the initiatives of students and young professionals.

During the conference, the participants were able to:

• Listen to presentations at Google DevFest Oral, where leading experts shared the latest trends and insights in the field of technology.
• Learn about real-world cases from leading IT companies in the region that demonstrated innovative approaches to business and technology development.
• Witness the Startup Battle, where startups in the region competed for the title of the most promising and innovative projects.

One of the highlights of the conference was a report by Alexey Rodionov, a PWA developer, UX/DX engineer and Google Developer Expert (GDE) on web technologies, at GDG Oral DevFest 2024. In his speech on the topic “Capabilities of a modern web platform”, Alexey shared with the participants the latest trends in web application development, and also talked about the possibilities and advantages of using progressive web applications (PWA) and modern web standards to improve user experience and performance.

Startup Battle attracted special attention at the conference, where Ilya Ermolaev, a 2nd-year student of the educational program “Computer Engineering and Information Systems”, took part. Ilya demonstrated an innovative approach and courage in the implementation of the startup, earning the attention of both experts and participants of the event. His project aroused great interest and became an example for other aspiring entrepreneurs in the field of technology.

Jaiq Digital Day 2024 has become an important event for the entire region, highlighting the importance of digital technologies and innovations in modern business and education.
