On December 4, 2025, an open practical lesson on «Information Technologies in the Professional Sphere. Industrial ICT» was conducted for group VTIS-22O of the educational program 6B06104 – «Computer Engineering and Information Systems.» The lesson was delivered by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering, A.B. Kairanbaeva.

During the session, students explored the modern role of specialized software, current trends in the IT sector, and the fundamentals of industrial cybersecurity. The main objective of the lesson was to demonstrate the importance of information technologies in medicine, energy, industry, and other professional fields.

Modern digital tools were used during the practical work. The D-ID platform — an AI-based tool that can “bring static images to life” by synchronizing lip movements with uploaded text or audio — was used to create video materials. Freetts was used for text-to-speech generation. Interactive tasks were carried out using the educational platforms LearningApps and Wordwall.

At the beginning of the lesson, students completed a LearningApps activity in which they classified answers related to the topic. After the theoretical explanation, a short quiz with multiple-choice questions was conducted.

In the final part of the lesson, the Wordwall platform was used with the interactive method “IT-Boxes in Space,” where students selected a card containing a question and chose the correct answer.

The use of digital tools increased student engagement, enhanced their skills in working with modern IT resources, and demonstrated practical ways of applying information technologies in professional activities.
