On December 2, 2025, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, Candidate of Technical Sciences S.S. Tulemisova, delivered an open lecture on the topic: “Hydraulic Fracturing: Techniques and Technology.”
During the session, the instructor effectively applied modern interactive teaching methods, which helped increase students’ interest in the subject and reinforce their theoretical knowledge on the new topic. The lecture covered in detail the objectives of hydraulic fracturing, its role in enhancing oil recovery, the operational techniques, equipment used, properties of fracturing fluids, and the key technological stages.
Students were presented with practical examples, and the efficiency of applying hydraulic fracturing technology in real field conditions was discussed. Interactive discussions, a question–answer format, and elements of group work further enhanced the effectiveness of the lesson.
