The Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety held an advisor session for 1st–2nd year students, aimed at comprehensively presenting the stages of Kazakhstan’s path to independence, fostering historical awareness, and highlighting the key achievements of the first decade of sovereign statehood. During the event, special attention was given to the significance of the December 1986 events, which became a symbol of the Kazakh youth’s aspiration for freedom, national dignity, and justice. Students recited heartfelt poems and performed patriotic songs dedicated to Independence Day, adding emotional depth to the meeting and reinforcing the atmosphere of respect for the country’s history. These artistic presentations helped deepen the younger generation’s understanding of the historical courage that contributed to the nation’s path toward sovereignty.

Participants were also provided with detailed information about the political, economic, and social transformations that took place in Kazakhstan between 1991 and 2000. The presentation highlighted the early state reforms, the strengthening of national independence, the development of international relations, the introduction of the national currency, economic modernization, and the formation of civil society.

At the conclusion of the advisor session, students shared their impressions, expressed respect for Kazakhstan’s historical journey, and emphasized the importance of preserving and strengthening independence as a fundamental national value. The event contributed to fostering patriotism, deepening knowledge of the country’s history, and reinforcing the understanding of independence as a vital value for every citizen.
