On February 7, 2024, within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the ZKITU and the Police Department of the West Kazakhstan Region, a guest lecture was held on the basis of the Department of Law on the topic: «Prevention among young people about the consequences of the use and distribution of narcotic drugs, including synthetic drugs» by an employee of the Drug Control Department of the DP of the West Kazakhstan Region, police Lieutenant Colonel Murzabayeva Elmira and an independent volunteer and public figure West Kazakhstan region Murzakhmetova Asel was held for students of 1-2 courses in educational programs 6B04202 Jurisprudence, 6B04207 Judicial and prosecutorial activities and 6B04203 Legal regulation of transportation, movement and operation of transport.

The lecturers revealed to the students the problem of drug addiction at the present stage, its harmful effect on young people, in a very meaningful and accessible way. As a result of the measures taken by the staff of the drug control Department together with other DP services, more than 1,700 kg of narcotic drugs were seized from illicit trafficking in 2023 in the territory of the West Kazakhstan region, the total cost of which is 450 million tenge. Last year, criminal charges were brought against 7 minors for drug crimes in our region.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Murzabayeva E.Zh spoke about ways to involve young people in the illegal distribution of narcotic drugs through social networks, about tightening criminal legislation for drug crimes. The students were shown videos about the harm caused to the human body by the use of drugs, including synthetic ones, and ways of their illegal distribution among young people.

The students asked their questions on the topic, to which they received comprehensive answers from the guests.
