On January 28, 2026, a guest lecture was held at the Department of Petroleum Engineering by M.B. Polozov, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor, and representative of Udmurt State University. The lecture was organized for students of the department and was devoted to the актуal topic “Technological and Economic Aspects of Developing Hard-to-Recover Fields.”

During the lecture, the speaker comprehensively covered modern approaches to the development of hard-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves, with particular attention paid to applied production technologies, innovative solutions, and issues related to improving the economic efficiency of field development. The main challenges arising under complex geological and technical conditions were discussed, along with possible solutions based on both international and domestic experience.

The lecture generated strong interest among students. Participants actively asked questions and discussed the prospects for implementing new technologies and the economic feasibility of their application under various field conditions.

Such events contribute to broadening students’ professional outlook, strengthening scientific and educational cooperation between universities, and improving the quality of training for specialists in the field of petroleum engineering.
