On December 19, 2024, the advisors of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering: S.S. Tulemisova, V.I. Kenzhesova, A.K. Kadiraliev, M.K. Kiikbayev, E.D. Ashim, together with the supervised groups of the educational program 6B07201 – Oil and Gas Business visited the Museum of local Lore. One of the oldest museums in Kazakhstan – the West Kazakhstan Regional Museum of Local Lore was founded in 1836. The museum building, built in 1879 in the Moorish style, is an architectural monument. The museum has a rich fund, in which 102917 exhibits are preserved. Among them are works of applied art, military armor of the batyrs, horse harnesses, the khan’s scepter, a copy of the doublet of the khan’s wife Fatima Zhangir Khan, picturesque portraits of the khans of the Younger Zhuz and household items of the population of the Urals. The museum has halls of archeology, the history of the Middle Ages of the Golden Horde period and the history of the Yaitsky town, the history of the Younger Zhuz, the history of the Bukeevsky Khanate, the history of the Soviet period, the history of art, literature, science and education of the West Kazakhstan region, ethnography of the Kazakh people, the history of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The students received interesting information and expressed gratitude to the museum staff.
