On October 19, 2023, the Department of Emergency Situations of the West Kazakhstan region hosted a scientific conference on the topic «Introduction of scientific approaches to emergency prevention” with the participation of representatives of universities and organizations: Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, Academy of Civil Protection named after M. Gabdullin, Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov, Western-Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University named after Zhangir Khan, West Kazakhstan University named after M.Utemisov, Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Telecommunication Systems, Institute of Seismology LLP, ZKF “Kazhydromet”.

Head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Baitlesova L.I., Associate Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Shirvanov R.B. took part in the conference from the Institute of Industrial Technologies of ZKITU.

The conference addressed topical issues related to the possibility of introducing scientific approaches to solving problems of a theoretical and practical nature related to fire safety, forecasting flood and earthquake risks, as well as prevention and liquidation of emergency situations. During a business conversation with the management and representatives of the Emergency Department of the West Kazakhstan Region, topical issues of mutual cooperation in the field of education and science were discussed: assistance in the development of educational programs and catalogs of elective disciplines in the direction of «Life safety and environmental protection», the organization of joint scientific projects and research, the passage of professional practice by students, the organization and conduct of practice-oriented classes, reading guest lectures.
