On November 5, 2021, the assembly hall of the Abai Department of the DP of the West Kazakhstan region welcomed students of the 3rd year of the educational program “Law Enforcement” of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology. The meeting with the staff of the criminal investigation and forensic departments was organized in order to combine theoretical knowledge with practice, police officers revealed the issues of modern criminal investigation, including the reception of citizens, registration of complaints, the basics of criminal proceedings, the specifics and difficulties of conducting an investigation in electronic format, inspection of the scene, the removal of a sample of blood and other biological materials from the crime scene, the process of detection, seizure, fixation of physical evidence and their transfer to forensic examination was highlighted, representatives of the law enforcement system explained the types and scope of investigative actions in crimes against human rights, freedoms, health and life, crimes such as theft, Internet fraud were highlighted. The role of criminal police officers, ways of solving crimes and finding criminals were widely discussed.
Students asked police officers questions about the work of employees of these departments, about the difficulties they face, and about what made them link their fate with this profession.
Nurhat Berkinovich Bapenov, Deputy Head of Personnel Policy, having explained the conditions of public service in the authorities, invited students to join the police.
At the end of the meeting, senior lecturer of the Department of History and Law, Master of Law Gabdulov Akhat Zhomartovich shared his experience in organizing a pre-trial investigation and thanked the acting head of the Abai police Department Bakytzhanov Turar Samigullievich, Deputy Head of Personnel Policy Bapenov N.B., Deputy Head of the criminal department Police Major Ihsangali A.S., senior investigator police Major Aminova D.A., senior criminologist police captain Mutalov M. for organizing the meeting.
