On February 18, 2026, a meaningful guest lecture was organized at the Department of Law with the participation of qualified specialists from the Department of Justice of the West Kazakhstan Region. Representatives of the Department of Justice of the West Kazakhstan Region and regional professional associations specially attended the event and met with students.

The guest lecture was attended by: Sofia Bayazitovna Mikhaylova, Head of the Intellectual Property Rights Department of the Department of Justice of the West Kazakhstan Region.

Almagul Ramazanovna Ismagulova, Attorney and Member of the Bar Association of the West Kazakhstan Region.

Rinat Rafailevich Tenishev, Legal Consultant of the Chamber of Legal Consultants of the West Kazakhstan Region.

Ismail Telmanuly Azhkeev, Private Enforcement Officer of the Regional Chamber of Private Enforcement Officers of the West Kazakhstan Region, who provided comprehensive information in their respective fields.

During the meeting, detailed explanations were given on the protection of intellectual property rights, copyright and the procedure for trademark registration, the activities of legal consultants and mechanisms for providing legal assistance to citizens, as well as enforcement proceedings and the powers of private enforcement officers.

The speakers presented specific practical examples and addressed current issues in the field of law. Particular emphasis was placed on professional ethics, responsibility, and the importance of practical experience for future lawyers. Students asked their questions and received clear and informative answers from the specialists. The meeting was held in an open dialogue format, allowing for an active exchange of views.
