December 4, 2018 in the gym of the engineering and technological faculty of WKITU, in order to support the article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Seven facets of the great steppes”, the sports club “Barys” organized a team competition in chess and checkers among the departments of WKITU, timed to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main goal of the competition:

• To interest students in the game of chess;
• Establish friendships through sport;
• Increase the level of sportsmanship.

Conditions for participation in competitions: from each faculty 1-instructor, 1- faculty member, 1- student.

According to the results of the chess competitions, the following teams took their places:

I-place – pedagogical faculty;

II place – engineering and technological faculty;

III place – faculty of languages ​​and management

According to the results of the drafts competition, the following teams took the appropriate places:

I-place – pedagogical faculty;

II place – engineering and technological faculty;

III-place – faculty of Humanities and Law.

The I-place and the winners cup were taken by the team of the pedagogical faculty.
