As part of the Western Regional Student Sports League, a Kazakh wrestling competition for university students was held on April 7, 2026, at the sports complex of the Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University.

West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University student Kasan Akdidar demonstrated a high level of preparation and won the first place in the individual competition in the over 75 kg weight category, defeating the strongest students from seven universities and earning a spot in the national stage of the competition.

The outstanding performance of our other athletes, who demonstrated excellent preparation and organization, is also worth noting. In the individual competition among young men, the prizes were won by students from the Department of Physical Education and Informatics: Azat Imangazy (third place), Beknur Salimgerey (third place), and Kaisar Salamat (third place), under the guidance of

senior lecturers of the Department of Physical Education and Informatics Ibatov Murat Kolganatuly, Otarov Oryngali Mergenuly.
