On February 26, within the framework of the inclusive project “Tactile Uralsk” under the theme “Wonders of Buildings – at Your Fingertips,” organized by the regional specialized library for the blind and visually impaired, a presentation of models from the Department of Architecture and Construction of the Institute of Sectoral Technologies at the West Kazakhstan Innovative-Technological University was held. The project is led by Mayra Sarsengaliyeva, Honored Architect of Kazakhstan and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Architecture and Construction.

During the presentation, models created by 5th-year students of the 6V07301 “Architecture” program were showcased. Specifically:

The model of the West Kazakhstan Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, created by student Tatiana Alekseevna Dudykina;

The model of the Myrzaliyev Creative House, created by student Dias Armanovich Taishurin.

The models were designed according to special tactile requirements and allow people to experience the architectural features of the buildings through touch.

The main goal of this initiative is to introduce visually impaired individuals to the city’s architectural landmarks in a tactile format, expand access to historical and cultural heritage, and foster an inclusive environment. This is achieved through the creative work of the students and faculty of the Department of Architecture and Construction.
