From February 24 to 27, 2026, the WKF Bishkek Open international karate tournament was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Fourth-year WKITU student Madina Alimanova of the EP 6B01401 – Physical Education and Sports, from group FKS-421 won a silver medal in the 55 kg weight category (kumite division).
Madina Alimanova is an International Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a black belt holder, the 1st dan, world champion, multiple champion of Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and international tournaments, a bronze medalist at the Asian Championship, a bronze medalist at the 1st CIS Games, a bronze medalist at the BRICS Games, and a silver medalist at the 13th Summer Universiade among students of the Republic of Kazakhstan in karate.
