On February 3, 2026, an educational and practical event was organized for first-year students of the History and Social Science program. As part of this event, the students visited the M. Mametova Memorial Museum of the West Kazakhstan Region Department of Culture, Archives, and Documentation, as well as the West Kazakhstan Regional Museum of History and Local History.

The main goal of the event was to broaden the students’ historical horizons, foster a respectful attitude toward national values, gain a deeper understanding of the history and cultural heritage of their native region, and combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

At the M. Mametova Memorial Museum, students gained valuable insights into the life, heroism, and place in the history of Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova. Museum exhibits presented facts from the heroine’s personal life, her military career, and surviving historical artifacts. This had a significant impact on strengthening the students’ patriotic spirit.

At the West Kazakhstan Regional Museum of History and Local History, students learned about the main stages of the region’s historical development, archaeological and ethnographic exhibits, and the region’s culture and traditions. Museum staff conducted informative tours and answered students’ questions.

During the event, students demonstrated an active and engaging interest in historical facts. Museum visits contributed to students’ increased interest in the subject and had a positive impact on the development of their historical awareness.

The excursion to the M. Mametova Memorial Museum and the West Kazakhstan Regional Museum of History and Local History for first-year students in the History program was informative and had significant educational value. Similar educational events are planned for the future.
