On November 20, 2025, a comprehensive guest lecture was organized for 2nd-year students of the educational program 6B11201 – “Environmental Protection and Life Safety” of BKITU STI, with the participation of a specialist from the Emergency Situations Department of Uralsk, West Kazakhstan Region. The lecture on the topic “Fire Protection for the Population” was delivered by Rustam Maskaruly Zhirentaev, Captain of Civil Protection and Watch Commander of Fire Station No. 7.
The industry specialist provided detailed information on current fire safety requirements, common household and industrial hazards, fire spread dynamics, and emphasized the importance of correct and timely actions during the first minutes of a fire, illustrating his explanations with real practical examples.
In addition, the lecture covered the structure of the civil protection system, the work of firefighting units, interaction between rescue services, evacuation rules for the population, and psychological resilience during emergency situations. Rustam Maskaruly shared real cases from his professional experience, highlighting the significance of quick decision-making and team coordination during emergencies. Students asked numerous questions and received additional information about the daily work of firefighters, the operation of specialized equipment, the level of professional training, and compliance with international safety standards.
