On November 6.7 and 8, within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation between the ZKITU and the Police Department for the West Kazakhstan Region, practice-oriented classes were held in the Operational and Forensic Unit of the DP for students of the educational program 6B04202 Jurisprudence groups YUR-31O, YUR-32O, YUR-35O in the discipline “Criminalistics”. The lesson was conducted by the deputy head of the OCU, Lieutenant Colonel of the police Mukhamedyarov K.K., criminologist of the OCU, police captain Nasyrov T.B., with the participation of associate Professor of the Department of Law, Candidate of Law Rakhmetov T.H.

During the classes, the students were shown the mobile forensic laboratory of the OKU, its purpose, equipment and its use by forensic specialists at the scene of serious crimes committed in the city and region. The staff of this unit showed the practical application of the odorological laboratory with the use of service dogs in identifying suspects for non-obvious crimes with a film demonstration.

Criminologists explained and showed students the practical application of ballistics in shooting firearms, rifled weapons, research on bullets and cartridge casings found at the scene, cold steel. In addition, the practical application of habitoscopy in the formation of photographic portraits of wanted persons and work on forensic records was demonstrated. At the training ground, the procedure for detecting, fixing and removing from the scene traces of fingers, shoes of the suspect and traces of vehicles using special forensic tools and equipment was demonstrated.

The students were shown films about the history of the formation of the operational forensic department and its employees, the application of new scientific achievements in practice, the work of criminologists at the scene of accidents under various weather conditions in an open area to detect, fix and remove various traces of crime.

Police officers Mukhamedyarov K.K. and Nasyrov T.B. answered all the questions of the students.
