On September 21, at the initiative of the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Police Department for the West Kazakhstan region as part of the implementation of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan dated September 2 “Fair Kazakhstan; Law and Order, Economic Growth, Public Optimism”, where the Head of State set the task “On the need to strengthen the fight against drug offenses, which in fact are a threat to the gene pool of the nation”, the action “Uralsk is a city without drugs” was held.
Volunteers, students of universities of our city, including 41 students of the Department of Law of WKITU, took part in this action together with police officers. In total, more than 150 people took part in the action.
Speaking at the event, the head of the Police Department Orazaliyev Arman Moldiyarovich informed about the danger of the spread of synthetic drugs, their harmful influence and the danger of involving young people in them and the measures taken by the Police Department. The head of the police gave examples of the detention of minors for drug crimes in our region. In this regard, the role of not only the police, but also the volunteer movement, students, and all citizens is important in this work. The head of the police thanked everyone for their active participation in this event.
Speaking at the event on behalf of all educational institutions, Associate Professor of the Department of Law of WKITU, Candidate of Law, veteran of the internal affairs bodies Rakhmetov T.Kh. said that students understand the importance of preventive measures to counter the spread of drugs, support a healthy lifestyle and that our city is drug-free. He expressed the readiness of students to take part in such actions.
During this event, students, volunteers, who were given special T-shirts and baseball caps for this action, divided into 24 groups with police officers, jointly took part in painting over the inscriptions through which drugs are distributed in our city. In total, during the action, these groups painted over more than 100 addresses in the city and applied the inscription “No to drugs” with special paints.
The event was organized at a high level on a clear, sunny day and was enjoyed by future lawyers.
