On April 10, 2024, the Department of Finance and Economics of WKITU organized a competition for youth startup projects «StartUPWKITU» within the framework of science week. The purpose of the competition is to promote the activity of students, magistrands in scientific, entrepreneurial and research activities in accordance with the goals and objectives of the development of the University; the development of interconnection and expansion of forms of interpersonal interaction among students, undergraduates. The competition of youth startup projects «StartUPWKITU» was attended by Chairman of the jury Makhmudov Askar Dzhumataevich, Candidate of Economics, associate professor, jury members Kurmanova Gulnara Kusainovna, Candidate of Economics, associate professor, Mukeeva Umitkhanym Bekesovna, senior lecturer, Salimbayeva Sholpan Disenbaevna, Master of Economics, senior lecturer, Urazova Bakhyt Adilgereevna, Master of Economics, senior lecturer.
10 teams were represented at the competition – students of 2-3 courses, magistrands of 2 courses of the Institute of Education and Management of WKITU. The participants of the competition presented quite interesting business ideas for various types of activities: from the opening of training centers to the construction of large entertainment complexes. At the end of the StartUPWKITU youth startup project competition, the jury members summed up the results and announced the results of the teams’ participation in it.
According to the results of participation in the competition, the 1st place was awarded to the 3rd year student of the educational program «Finance» Nikolaeva Gonzha for the project «Togyzkumalak ortalygyn ashu business zhospary». The 2nd place was awarded to the 3rd year student of the educational program «Finance» Kenzhina Ainura for the project «Interior Design Studio». The 3rd place was given to the 2nd year students of the educational program «Management» Zhenis Arman and Kaliev Yerkebulan for the project «Kulik zhuu kesheni». The nomination «For the best presentation» was awarded to 2nd year students of the educational program «Economics» Duisekenov Ruslan and Shapiev Bibars for the project «Opening a Coffee shop». The nomination «For active participation in the scientific life of the department» was awarded to a 3rd-year student of the educational program «Finance» Sembayeva Ainura for the project «Akyldy zhuldyzdar – Smart stars» Mektep jasyna deingi balalarga arnalgan tanymdyk oyin-sauyk ortalygy». The nomination «For a creative approach» was awarded to 3rd year students of the educational program «Tourism» Abekesheva Tumargul and Androshchuk Maxim for the project «Opening of the entertainment complex «AqvaDeLuvr»».
