In Аpril 2023, the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation together with stakeholders held a meeting of the Academic Committee on the development and updating of educational programs 7M01702 “Foreign language: two foreign languages”, 6B01702 “Foreign language: two foreign languages”, 6B02301 “Translation” for 2023-2027 academic years. Teaching staff, students, undergraduates, representatives of secondary schools and public organizations took part in the discussion of the OP.

During the meeting, it was proposed to introduce into OP 7M01702 “Foreign language: two foreign languages” such a discipline as “Academic English for researchers”, for the development of skills in writing scientific papers, as well as writing methodological manuals and translation skills of various types of reading original literature, creating a secondary scientific text. Also, at the suggestion of students and undergraduates, the discipline “Practical grammar of the English language” was introduced into OP 6B01702 “Foreign language: two foreign languages”. The directors of schools and public organizations also supported the proposal to introduce a Minor program for undergraduate students to form additional competencies.
