From September 13 to September 29, 2017 SES expert Günter Ketterle (Germany) delivered a course of lectures on the theme “Fundamentals of international accounting and reporting” for the 3-4 years students of the specialty “Finance” of pedagogical faculty of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University. Günter Ketterle has extensive knowledge in financial sphere, especially in the field of working with clients involved in international business, has many years of experience as an auditor, tax consultant and certified auditor of the United States of America, as well as a lecturer in accounting at the Heidelberg Higher School (Germany). He worked in the USA, Asia and Europe with large multinational listing companies.

Mr. G. Ketterle held several seminars on innovative teaching technologies for instructors of the pedagogical faculty. As the results of the seminar the participants were awarded certificates.

September 27, 2017 at the Department of Finance of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University a round table was held on the topic “The principles of CORE – the experience of teaching at the University of Germany and the adoption of innovative technologies in the education system of Kazakhstan.”

The round table was attended by instructors of the pedagogical faculty and the faculty of languages and management of ZKITU, the 2-nd year students of the specialty “Finance”.

The purpose of the round table is the exchange of experience in the application of new technologies in the field of education. Three reports were announced at the round table. The moderator was Master of Economics Mashanova S.A.

With a salutatory speech the dean of the pedagogical faculty Dzhumakaeva B.S. made a speech, who noted the role of innovative teaching technologies in the education system.

The report “The principles of CORE – experience of teaching at the University of Germany” expert SES Günter Ketterle aroused great interest and heated discussion.

Vice-rector for academic affairs, Professor Yernazarov Zh.T. in the report “Towards the application of innovative teaching methods in the system of higher education in Kazakhstan”, he detailed the main innovative methods of teaching, as well as the possibilities of applying them in practice.

Participants of the round table showed great interest to the speech of the senior lecturer of the department “Finance” Kurmanova G.K., who shared her experience of the Department of Finance in the use of active teaching methods. Associate Professor Kurmanova G.K. is the author of “Methodical instructions on methods of interactive training of students of the specialty” 5В050900-Finance “.

In conclusion, the vice-rector for academic affairs, professor Yernazarov Zh.T. wished everyone good luck and expressed the hope that all teachers will systematically apply innovative teaching technologies.
