On December 6-7, 2024, the Forum of Young Scientists was held in Astana, which became an important platform for discussing current issues of science, technology and innovation. An employee of the agricultural innovation and technology park Seraly Akbar Mukhamedzhanuly took part in the forum from the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University!
The organizers of the forum – Young Researchers Alliance with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Corporate Fund «Social Development Fund” NU and Nazarbayev University. The partners of the forum were the Club of Experts of the Parliament Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of Spain and the Council of Young Scientists under the NAS RK.
The forum discussed the most important areas that can significantly affect the development of domestic science. In particular, significant attention was paid to such sectors as agriculture, environmental conditions, space research, renewable sources and artificial intelligence. Active research and innovation in these areas can lead to great achievements in the future. The forum also touched upon issues of strengthening the legal status of scientists, developing venture investments and supporting national research universities. Young scientists presented their ideas and proposals, which, according to the participants, could become the basis for future successes in science.
The forum included thematic sessions devoted to key issues such as the use of artificial intelligence, innovations in agricultural science, achievements in biomedicine, transformation of the educational environment and support for young scientists. These topics attracted the attention of participants and became the basis for a constructive dialogue between scientists, representatives of business and government agencies.
Chairman of the Parliament Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev noted in his speech that the development of a knowledge-intensive economy is of strategic importance for the country. Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek emphasized the importance of scientific innovations for the sustainable development of Kazakhstan. President of Nazarbayev University, Professor Vaqar Akhmad, in turn, noted the importance of the forum for strengthening ties between science and business, as well as for the development of scientific research in the country.
The forum featured experts from various countries, including Spain, Saudi Arabia, Finland and the United States, representing leading scientific and educational institutions such as HM CINAC, CSIC-UPM, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, University of Oulu and Harvard Medical School.
The Forum concluded with a unique musical-scientific show, “MusicalNeuro-Dialogues”, organized within the framework of CajalMeetings with the participation of Guglielmo Fofani and Luca Bagaglia. This event was a shining example of how culture and science can interact, highlighting the interdisciplinary approach as an important element of the modern scientific ecosystem.
