On March 2, 2022, a training for teachers on the topic “Digital tools in assessing students’ knowledge” was held at the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities as part of the School of Pedagogical Excellence. 12 teachers of the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities took part in the training.

The head of the training is Gulnara Shaukatovna Utesheva, senior lecturer of the Department of Engineering and Technology, Master of Technical Sciences.

During the training, the teachers got acquainted with the Google cloud Internet service, learned how to create and work with Google forms, in particular, use them when assessing students’ knowledge.

Google Forms are one of the types of documents available on the Google platform. Having learned how to work with Google forms, the teacher can create an unlimited number of surveys, questionnaires, tests and invite an unlimited number of respondents. Materials can be exported to various formats (pdf, xls, txt).

The relevance of the training lies in the fact that working with Internet services significantly saves teachers’ time spent on checking and evaluating students.

At the end of the training, a reflection on the “Blob Tree” technique was carried out, when the participants noted their level of understanding of the new material on the tree.

The participants of the training, in turn, will teach their colleagues at the departments to create and work with Google forms in order to expand the use of innovative methods for assessing students’ knowledge.
