On November 29, 2022, the Department of Transport and Technology in the field of science and Education participated in an event on the topic “Smart Cities. Innovative Construction Technologies” organized by the Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology and Engineering named after N. I. Vavilov. (in video conference format). The event was actively attended by the teaching staff, graduate students and students.

The welcoming speech was delivered by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology and Engineering named after N.I. Vavilov, Head of the Department of “Technical Support of Agriculture” Tyurin Igor Yurievich. During the round table, students of the B-AI-201, 301 and 401 groups made presentations on the main tasks, as well as the M-NTK-1012 groups shared current problems in the field of agroengineering.

Mikhail V. Karpov – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of “Organization and Technologies of Hydro-Reclamation and Construction Works” of the K.A. Timiryazev Russian State Agricultural Academy spoke on the topic “Smart Urban Transport” and the introduction of technological solutions that allow creating a reserve capacity of transport infrastructure taking into account the growing load. Larisa Anatolyevna Zhuravleva, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor with a report on the topic “The future belongs to smart cities”.

Omarov Akylbek Nurlybekovich – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Ph.D., Head of the Department “Transport and Technology”, Private Educational Institution of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University noted as one of the directions of implementation of the concept of “smart city” – “Disclosure of topical issues related to the goals of development and implementation of the smart urban transport approach”.

At the end of the meeting, the guests and participants answered the questions raised and once again stressed the importance of the round table event.
