On March 18, 2026, the Institute of Industrial Technologies at the West Kazakhstan Innovative-Technological University held a seminar within the framework of the School of Pedagogical Mastery on the topic “Modern Approaches to Designing Educational Programs.” The event was attended by department heads and faculty members of the institute.

The seminar was moderated by A.I. Kalniyazova, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department of the Institute of Industrial Technologies.

During the seminar, key issues related to the development and improvement of educational programs were discussed, including:

  • the competency-based approach in higher education;
  • principles of outcome-oriented learning;
  • analysis of the modular structure of educational programs;
  • consideration of professional standards and modern labor market requirements;
  • integration of digital technologies into the educational process.

Participants became familiar with modern approaches to developing educational programs and discussed the draft Regulation on the Procedure for Developing, Approving, and Monitoring Educational Programs.

Special attention was given to adapting educational programs to labor market requirements, clearly and accessibly defining learning outcomes based on the competency-based approach, and integrating digital technologies into the learning process. Participants also exchanged practical experience and suggestions for improving the educational process.

At the conclusion of the seminar, it was emphasized that designing educational programs using modern approaches is a key factor in enhancing the quality of higher education.
