On March 26, 2026, an educational seminar titled “Ethical Foundations of Using Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research” was held at Secondary School No.45. The seminar was conducted with the participation of faculty members from the Department of Physical Education and Informatics of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University — Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor Zhadyra Serikovna Kazhiakparova; associate professor, PhD Assel Bekbolatovna Arystanova; as well as a doctoral student of the Informatics educational program at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, Anargul Zhaskairatovna Narimanova.

The seminar was attended by the school administration, subject teachers, and informatics teachers. The main objective of the event was to explain to educators and students the principles of proper, safe, and ethical use of artificial intelligence tools in scientific research, as well as to promote digital culture.

During the seminar, the role of artificial intelligence in scientific research, along with its capabilities and limitations, was comprehensively discussed. Special attention was given to issues of academic integrity, plagiarism prevention, protection of personal data, and information security. Participants were offered practical tasks aimed at developing skills in critically analyzing information obtained through artificial intelligence, as well as identifying errors and misinformation. In addition, various ethical scenarios were discussed, and recommendations for the responsible use of artificial intelligence were developed.

The seminar contributed to the development of participants’ skills in the conscious and effective use of artificial intelligence tools, as well as to the enhancement of research culture.
