On February 24, 2026, within the framework of the School of Pedagogical Mastery at the Institute of Sectoral Technologies of the West Kazakhstan Innovative-Technological University, the master class “From Author’s Idea to Legal Protection of Intellectual Products” was held.

The moderators were master’s degree holders and senior lecturers of the Department of “Energy, Automation, and Computer Engineering,” Kairanbayeva Albina Berikkalievna and Sarsengaliyeva Akbayan Maksimkyzy.

During the event, the participants studied the procedure for obtaining an author’s certificate in the Republic of Kazakhstan, reviewed objects of intellectual property, examined the specifics of preparing educational and digital learning materials, and discussed common mistakes when submitting an application. Special attention was given to the novelty of the development and the requirements for proper documentation.

The practical part allowed participants to step by step practice the algorithm for preparing an application: from identifying the object and drafting the annotation to filling out the necessary forms.

As a result of the master class, the participants improved their legal literacy in the field of intellectual property and received practical recommendations for protecting their own authorial developments.
