Throughout the history of livestock science and practice, specialists have faced and continue to face the task of creating highly productive herds of farm animals. After all, it is no secret that the incomes of many rural residents, both in peasant farms and in personal subsidiary farms, depend on the effectiveness of animal husbandry.
At first glance, everything seems to be available for cattle breeding: there is enough forage, hayfields, and pastures in the region. And the livestock on the farms is shrinking, milk yields and gains are falling. What is the reason? The reason for the deterioration is the use of home-grown bulls on the herds of cattle of the population’s personal subsidiary plots and farms.
The foregoing has been a message for farmers to increasingly use the biotechnology of animal reproduction through the use of artificial insemination. Taking into account the demand among agricultural producers of this progressive method of animal breeding, on the basis of the Research Center for Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University, training courses for specialists in this field are conducted on an ongoing basis.
Scientists of the Department of Ecology and Biotechnology of the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities of WKITU are involved in conducting theoretical and practical classes: Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Academician Bozymov K.K.; Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Absatirov G.G.; doctor of veterinary sciences, professor Baitlesov E.U.; Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Kanatbaev S.G.; candidate of veterinary sciences, associate professor Dnekeshev A.K.; Master of Veterinary Sciences Zhubantaeva A.N. Highly qualified specialists, using the most modern equipment and tools, teach students the theoretical and practical aspects of the biotechnology of animal reproduction, as well as in the field of embryo transplantation in beef and dairy cattle breeding.
From May 30 to June 3, 2022, training courses for artificial insemination technicians in the amount of 36 hours for specialists in our field were held on the basis of the Research Center for Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology of WKITU. At the end of the course, the students were awarded certificates.
