A business meeting of the faculty of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety, the management and teachers of the College of Engineering and Technology, students, undergraduates, staff of the Scientific Research Center of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, the Agricultural Innovation and Technology Park with Dmitry Morozov, the regional manager of the WHO project for the development of veterinary personnel for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, took place at the veterinary clinic of ZKITU.

The main purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the educational and material base and the system of organizing the educational process according to the educational program “Veterinary Medicine”. Dr. Morozov, who has 24 years of teaching experience at the Vitebsk State Veterinary Academy, where he rose from assistant to dean of the faculty, highly appreciated the potential of WKITU in training veterinary specialists.

As the regional manager of the WHO program, D. Morozov is actively involved in the development of veterinary education, organizing international seminars and forums for representatives of specialized universities and government agencies. One of these seminars, “Harmonization of veterinary education: alignment with the competencies of the WHO for graduates of the first day and integration of the concept of “Unified Health”, was held on October 14-16 in Almaty with the participation of representatives of nine countries in the region, including Kazakhstan. The seminar was also attended by the Professor of the Department of VITB, Doctor of Historical Sciences. Absatirov G.G.

During the visit, Dr. Dmitry Morozov gave a guest lecture on the topic “Harmonization of veterinary education in accordance with the competencies of the WHO for graduates and the integration of the concept of “Unified Health” into the curriculum.” The lecture aroused great interest and active discussion among teachers, students and undergraduates.
