On the 28th of February 2023, the Department of General Education Disciplines organized and held a guest lecture on the theme «Ancient traditions: positivity and negativity». Well-known historian of West Kazakhstan, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of WKU named after M. Utemisov Zhaksygaliyev Zhanabek Zhanabaevich held a guest lecture for students of WKITU educational programs: “Oil and Gas Engineering,” “Electric Power Engineering,” “Computer Technology and Information Systems,” “Automation and Management,” “Standardization, Certification,” “Technical machinery,” “Transportation organization,” “Life safety and environmental protection,” “Land management and cadastre.” The lecture focused on the traditions of the Kazakh family, its value landmark. Many examples have been given on family values ​ ​ of the past and present. The lecture was listened to with great interest, students asked not few questions. This lecture was of great educational importance for student youth.
