On December 8, a guest lecture was held with a dissertation candidate from the Institute of Urbanism, Architecture and Construction of the Saratov Technical University R.T. Mameshev on the topic “Chemical additives to concrete” at the department of “Architecture and Construction” for students in OP 6B07302-Construction

The report addressed the following issues:

classification of chemical additives; efficiency of using additives in concrete; surfactants; accelerators and retarders of setting and hardening of concrete; antifreeze additives; complex chemical additives.

The speaker also presented schemes and technologies for using modern additives for the production and transportation of concrete.

The students were interested in learning about the use of modern additives and the most frequently asked questions to the speaker concerned specifically new technologies and the chemical processes occurring inside concrete under the influence of additives.
