Modern dynamic changes, digital technologies and artificial intelligence require constant improvement of knowledge and skills, experience in training specialists in universities. One of the ways to solve this problem is to conduct a series of intermediate training seminars.

The Center for Educational Technologies and Blended Learning, under the leadership of Doctor of Pedagogy, associate professor Bakhisheva S.M., the Department of Digitalization and Innovation, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology and Department of Social Sciences and Physical Culture, held the first two-day seminar for instructors and magistrands on January 31 – February 1.

Day 1. Digital technologies and artificial intelligence in education.

The first day was devoted to discussing the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in teaching. The work of the seminar began with a welcoming speech from the director of the Institute of Education and Management of WKITU Tasmagambetov A.S.

  In the theoretical part of the seminar, acting first vice-rector for educational and methodological work of WKITU Mashanova S.A. and Doctor of History, professor, Academician of the Academy of Humanities of Kazakhstan, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Higher School of Kazakhstan Rysbekov T.Z. spoke about priorities in modern higher education, requirements, recommendations for attracting teaching staff, shared their views and opinions on the introduction of digital technologies and the role of natural intelligence in modern science.

In the practical part of the seminar, instructors of the Department of Social Disciplines and Physical Culture – Candidate of Pedagogy, associate professor Kazhiakparova Zh.S. and the head of the department of digitalization and innovation Mukhtar Z.G. conducted a master class on the topics discussed. Kazhiakparova Zh.S. dedicated her speech to teaching those present the skills of creating interactive e-books and brochures with animated page scrolling on the topic “Flip PDF Professional”, Mukhtar Z.G. shared his experience of working with services that are widely used at present, demonstrated cases of using digital technologies and artificial intelligence in education.

Day 2. Modern trends in education and the role of the teacher

On the second day of the seminar, invited speakers shared their professional experience on the issues discussed. Vice-rector of WKITU for scientific work and international relations Zhubantayev I.N. made a welcoming speech, noted the importance of the topics, and wished the participants success in their work.

The head of the Center for Educational Technologies and Blended Learning, Doctor of Pedagogy, professor Bakhisheva S.M. analyzed an overview of student-oriented trends, reported interesting facts about the theory of generational specificity, constructivism, hybrid and blended learning, scaffolding, etc.

  The most striking were the speeches of the invited speakers of the intensive seminar, managers of creative educational institutions, fluent in several languages, who know how to delight their listeners.

Director of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Uralsk Aitpukeshev A.T., director of the Uralsk College of Information Technologies Safullin E.N., deputy general director of Zhaiyk press Rakhmanov N., doctoral student of the K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University Ramazanova L.E. shared modern approaches to the practice of oriented learning and experience in the effective use of cloud technologies and VR and AR technologies, neural networks, and media literacy.

We believe that this seminar contributed to increasing the digital literacy of teachers and improving knowledge about using the capabilities of artificial intelligence in the educational process.
