On January 22, 2026, the City Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science for 11th grade students of general education schools of Uralsk was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovative-Technological University, organized by the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering.
The Olympiad brought together about 100 students from various schools in the city. The main goals of the event were to assess students’ knowledge in the respective subjects, identify their intellectual and scientific potential, foster interest in exact sciences, and motivate students to choose educational programs in the fields of science, technology, and information technologies.
Participants were given tasks of varying complexity aimed at evaluating their theoretical knowledge, logical thinking, and ability to apply knowledge in practice. Students demonstrated a high level of preparation, active participation, and interest in solving challenging problems.
An expert jury consisting of university faculty was formed to ensure an objective evaluation of the participants’ work.
The jury included:

Lukpanova Dina Makpozovna — Senior Lecturer;
Kairanbaeva Albina Berikkalievna — Senior Lecturer, Master of Technical Sciences.
The jury evaluated the Olympiad papers according to established criteria, ensuring fairness and transparency of the results.
Based on the results, winners and prize-winners were determined in each subject. Winners and prize-winners were awarded diplomas and prizes.
Certificates were presented to the teachers who prepared the students.
The Olympiad contributed to strengthening cooperation between the university and local schools and served as an important element of career guidance. The event aimed to support gifted students, promote interest in science and technology, and foster a sustained motivation for learning among the youth.
