From October 29 to November 17, 2025, advanced training courses on the topics: “Digitalization and industrial automation”, “Modern technologies and equipment in the electric power industry” were held at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology and Engineering named after N.I.Vavilov”.
In order to improve professional competencies and update knowledge, the full-time faculty of the Department of Energy, Automation, and Computer Science at the Institute of Industry Technologies of the West Kazakhstan Innovative Technology University underwent training aimed at developing modern pedagogical, methodological, and professional skills.
The training was organized in accordance with the current requirements of the higher education system and focused on the implementation of innovative approaches to the educational process. The courses covered the use of modern educational technologies, digitalization of learning, updating the content of academic disciplines, and methods of evaluating educational outcomes.
Special attention was given to a practice-oriented approach. The instructors learned about modern tools for organizing the educational process, shared their experiences in using interactive teaching methods, and discussed ways to increase student motivation and improve the quality of educational programs. The training format allowed them to gain new knowledge, analyze existing practices at the department, and identify promising areas for development.
The participation of the entire department staff in the advanced training course contributed to the formation of a unified professional space, strengthening teamwork, and developing common approaches to implementing educational tasks. The acquired knowledge and skills will be used in the development and updating of discipline curricula, the implementation of modern educational technologies, and improving the overall efficiency of the educational process.
The completion of the course was an important milestone in the department’s development and a testament to the department’s commitment to continuous professional growth, meeting modern educational requirements, and ensuring the high quality of student education.
