The Department of Law of WKITU is the graduate department of the educational program 6B04202 “Jurisprudence”.

According to the educational program 6B04202 “Jurisprudence”, specialists are trained who are able to carry out their professional activities in the field of protecting, ensuring and guaranteeing compliance with the legitimate rights and interests of the state, individuals and legal entities arising in the legal field.

The objectives of the educational process according to OP 6B04202 “Jurisprudence” are:

1. Formation of the ability for self-improvement and professional growth of a person with diverse humanitarian and legal knowledge and interests.
2. Formation of the ability to generalize, analyze, perceive information, set goals and choose ways to achieve them.
3. Definition of the purpose, objectives and content of the academic disciplines of the curriculum, their place in the structure of the educational program in the direction and profile of training.
4. Regulation of criteria and means for evaluating students’ classroom and independent work, and the quality of its results.
5. The ability to work with scientific information, to use domestic and foreign experience in professional activities, to systematize and summarize the information received.

The faculty of the department provides in-depth training in a range of subjects that reveal the specifics of the functioning of government and law enforcement agencies, the legal interaction of business entities and other types of activities of individuals and legal entities, the procedure for judicial and extrajudicial protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, and the specifics of the consideration of certain categories of cases in courts.

The graduate is a specialist of a wide profile, in demand in all areas of the judicial system and the prosecutor’s office, where special attention is paid to the study of such disciplines as criminal law and process, civil law and process, judicial power, criminology, criminology, penal enforcement law, etc.

The Department of Law has a courtroom and a criminology laboratory, as well as a forensic training ground equipped with the latest equipment.
