Dirk Lepelmeyer, Senior Expert of SES (Senior Experten Service), worked at the department by the invitation of Associate Professor Zhetkinshek Zhumayevich Jumaev, the Dean of the department of Languages and Management the expert stayed from October 28 to November 17, 2018.

The aim of the expert’s arrival was improving the qualification of the instructors of economic disciplines.

Professor Dirk Lepelmeyer has a vast experience in teaching disciplines at universities in the Federal Republic of Germany. Currently he is a professor at the department of Economics and Sociology of the Higher School in Osnabruck. Osnabruck is the third largest city in Lower Saxony.

At the department of Languages and Management, the professor conducted classes on such disciplines as finance, financial management, and corporate finance for the second, third, fourth year students of economic specialties.

In addition, the senior expert conducted an extra training for the teachers. He organized advanced training courses on the theme “The implement of principles of the Bologna process in the European Higher Education”.

A new educational model, which includes the principles of integration and mobility, which closely connected with the idea of “Life-long Learning”.

Life-long Learning includes all phases of learning, it based on providing the opportunity for each individual to choose from among the learning environments, activities, regions and countries needed to improve their knowledge and skills (competence) and use them optimally.

An important condition for the execution of LL is the development of a compatible (stepwise) credit system, which allows identification of diplomas and certificates obtained at school, at the university and in the field of professional training. Continuing education and acquiring the relevant time required skills seen as responses to increasing competition and the use of new technologies. The idea of ​​”Life-long Learning” meets the strategic goal – to become a competitive society in the world based on knowledge.

SES is a service of senior experts, the German Economy Foundation for International Cooperation. SES offers all interested parties the opportunity after retirement to actively participate in society, to share their knowledge and skills with other people, both in their own country and abroad. Since the founding of SES in 1983, over 25,000 assistance projects have implemented in 160 countries around the world by senior experts.

Being financially independent, senior experts provide their knowledge on a pro bono basis. They distinguished by high motivation and a rich professional experience. SES facilitates the transfer of knowledge and experience across borders, generations, and cultures.
