On April 23, 2026, the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad among students of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the educational program 6B03201– Library Science was held at the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University.
Students from leading universities across the country took part in the competition, demonstrating not only their theoretical knowledge but also their professional skills in modern trends of library science, effective use of digital technologies, and information service culture.
In this intellectual competition, the BiblioStars team of West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, consisting of Aida Zhaldybayeva, Aidana Brkenova, and Zoya Kuangaliyeva, under the supervision of senior lecturer of the Department of Philology and Teaching Methods Uteshova Zvaida Bisenovna, demonstrated a high level of preparation and won an honorable 3rd place.
This achievement is a clear reflection of the students’ dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence, as well as the high professionalism of the department’s teaching staff.
