On December 10, within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between ZKITU and the Bar Association for the West Kazakhstan region, a practice-oriented lesson was held for 3rd-year students in the educational program 6B04202 Jurisprudence of the Department of Law in the branch of the department- the Bar Association for the West Kazakhstan region, located in Uralsk in the microregion named after K. Myrzaali house 30/2.

A group of students and associate Professor of the Department of Law, Candidate of Law T. Rakhmetov were met at the College by the Chairman of the Bar Association for the West Kazakhstan region, “Honored Advocate of the Republic of Kazakhstan” Kaliev E.N. and first introduced to the material and technical base of the Bar Association and the staff. The presence and work with electronic databases -“Judicial Cabinet”, “E-Otinish”, “Zan komegI”, “Adilet”, which are used by lawyers in their daily work, were demonstrated.

The practice-oriented lesson on the topic “Participation of a lawyer in criminal and civil cases” continued in the assembly hall of this department, it was conducted for students by the chairman of the Bar Association Kaliev E.N. and a member of the Bar Association Utesheva L.M., who have extensive practical experience in advocacy. In their speeches, professional lawyers fully revealed the important role of a lawyer in criminal and civil proceedings to protect the constitutional rights of citizens provided for in paragraphs 3 of Article 13, paragraph 3 of Article 16 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The implementation in practice of the provisions of Articles 66 and 70 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan regulating the rights and duties of lawyers when they participate in criminal and civil proceedings has been fully disclosed.

The students were introduced to the basis and procedure for citizens to fill out a contract for the provision of legal services by professional defenders for their participation in criminal and civil cases.Drafting of procedural documents by lawyers as part of their participation in criminal and civil cases during pre-trial and judicial investigations such as petitions for questioning witnesses, victims, appointment of forensic medical, forensic accounting and criminalistic examinations, registration of a civil claim, appeals and other procedural documents.

The participants of the lesson were also informed about the procedure for applying for a job as a lawyer, and were introduced to the lawyer’s Code of Ethics. Yerzhan Nasimullinovich and Laura Mukhitovna answered all the students’ questions at the end of the lesson, wished them successful studies, invited them to practice and after graduation to work at the Bar Association of the West Kazakhstan region.

Associate Professor of the Department of Law, Candidate of Law T. H.Rakhmetov, on behalf of the entire faculty and students of the Department, thanked the Chairman of the Bar Association for the West Kazakhstan Region E.N. Kaliev and member of the Bar Association Laura Ilyasovna Utesheva for a meaningful practice-oriented lesson on the basis of the branches of the Department of Law, good cooperation and wished them success in their work and well-being.
