On November 24, 2025, at the Institute of Education and Management, at the request of the Department of Economic Investigations of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the West Kazakhstan Region, Sholpan Disenbayevna Salimbaeva, a senior lecturer in the Department of Finance and Economics, delivered a lecture for the first-year and the second-year students entitled “Deepfakes: A New Type of Internet Fraud.” The lecture highlighted how deepfakes have become a new way to deceive people and a pressing issue for society.

The lecture presented information on “Digital Literacy” and identified new ways to protect against online fraud.
