On February 29, 2024, senior teachers of the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering V.P. Zakharov, N.G. Buranova, N.B. Erbayeva, E.N. Abilgaziev organized an introductory tour to the Severnaya 110/10 kV substation for students of 1-3 courses in educational programs 6B07102 – “Electric Power Industry”, 6B07105 – “Automation and management”.

On behalf of the head of the service of the station and substation of the regional electric networks of ZapKazREK LLP, Viktor Evgenyevich Chesnokov, the students were met and familiarized with the substation by the duty electrician of the Severnaya 110/10 kV substation.

During the tour, the students were shown electrical equipment and told about their principles of operation. The specialist shared his experience and talked about the importance of observing safety regulations. He also noted the importance of the automation and control specialty, the fact that these specialists play an important role in any power supply system, since they service relay protection and automation devices and are responsible for safe operation.

In conclusion, the electrician on duty advised the students to study well, and also noted that two specialties are in great demand, and will always be needed in the labor market.

The students liked the tour of the specialty, they were active, asking questions to the specialist. The tour was informative and interesting for students and teachers alike.
