The educational program 6B04202 – «Jurisprudence» was developed on the basis of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 27, 2007 No. 319-III ZRK «On Education» (with amendments and additions on 04/20/2023), the sectoral qualifications framework and professional standards of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs «Atameken», as well as the current regulatory documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The content and logic of creating an educational program depend on the regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the requirements of employers and the internal rules of the university. Creating an educational program, the Institute of Industry Technologies and the Department of Law used modern scientifically-based approaches to planning, methodological support of applied learning technologies. The result of such approaches is the academic integrity of normative and educational documents, which ensures effective management of the mechanism for the implementation of this educational program at a high level.
The educational program provides for students to choose their field of study in one of the following two specializations: “Civil Law and Civil procedure” or “Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure”. During the revision of the OP, the following additions and changes were made to it:
The volume of credits for a number of basic, especially profile disciplines, such as “Family and juvenile law”, “Prosecutor’s supervision”, “Theory and practice of investigation of criminal offenses”, “Civil Procedural law”, “Criminal Procedural law” was increased.
At the request of employers, a number of new disciplines have been introduced: “Administrative procedural law”, “Professional ethics of a lawyer and anti-corruption culture”, “Legal support for cybersecurity.
In order to bring in line with the requirements of the professional standards of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”, the content of a number of basic and specialized disciplines has been revised, new disciplines have been introduced: “Financial and Tax Law”, “Financial Literacy” and “International Economics”.
Cooperation with employers in the development, regular periodic review and implementation of the educational program is systematic: the practice of discussing and coordinating the content of the educational program with employers in the region has been formed; involvement of employers in the educational process and management of practices, reviewing methodological developments of teachers; inclusion of employers in the state certification commissions, improving the quality of training of specialists by employers survey and satisfaction assessment.
An important component of the educational program are training and production practices, which are the bases of practices that students undergo in the departments of safety, labor protection and environment of leading enterprises and organizations of various sectors of the economy of the city of Uralsk and the West Kazakhstan region, as well as the Western region of the republic as a whole.
